Bought By Blood


In vain we seek for peace with God by methods of our own:
Jesus, there's nothing but yourblood can bring us near the throne.
You haveredeemed our souls with blood, and broke the prisoners chains;
Youmade us kings and priests to God, and with you we shall reign.

Justice upon a dreadful throneMaintains the rights of God;
While Mercy sends her pardons down, bought with a Savior's blood.
Our souls he washes in his blood,and cleanses every stain;
The Spirit from our GodDescends like purifying rain.

He bought our lives with blood.This is why God's Son came down
Now his own blood hides all our sins, and guilt no more is found.

It cost him death to buy our souls and for sins to atone,
And all the  joys he gives were bought with agonies unknown.
The great compassionof our God like a mighty river rolls;

Lord raise in me a deep cherishing Things of the gospel of Your good grace Of the great  and holy, central things Treasures that take the highest place The holiness of our Great God, The utter ugliness of sin, The hopeless helplessness of man, And the deep depravity we`re in. These are the truths that we would learn The glories we embrace So we`ll pursue our prime concern Treasures that take the highest place The all-sufficient death of Christ, That justifies by faith alone, The sanctifying work of the Spirit, The one sacrifice that atones The glory of Christ’s return, And the final judgment day The inheritance for which we yearn In Your presence e`er  to stay! Eat this...

I must say I am thoroughly enjoying my acquisition of TWO of Zinczenko and Goulding's Eat This Not That books.They are entertaining as well as eye opening, just the thing I needed to jumpstart my serious move on losing some serious weight- most of which has piled on in the last five years...I have the Supermarket Survival Guide and the Food Swaps volumes, as well as the Jillian Michaels book I saw last week on Huckabee's show .
